What this site is
Tor Hidden Services publishes educational material about the Tor network, onion services and related privacy topics. It is written for people with no prior background in the subject. It is published by Jesus Cordonero, in the Netherlands, who can be reached at [email protected].
What it is not
This is not legal advice, security consultancy, or a professional assessment of your situation. The author is not a cryptographer and does not present as one.
Nothing here should be treated as an assurance of safety. Privacy tools reduce specific risks under specific conditions. Whether they are adequate for your circumstances depends on facts about your circumstances that this site does not know.

Accuracy
Articles are checked against primary sources, principally the Tor Project’s own documentation, and carry the date they were last revised. Technology changes, and material that was accurate when written may not remain so.
No warranty is given that anything here is accurate, complete or current. Corrections are welcome and are described in the editorial standards.
What this site will not publish
So that nobody wastes their time asking:
- No onion addresses or link directories. An address is only trustworthy when it comes from whoever owns it. A list published here would carry the same problem as every other list, and requests for one will not be answered.
- No guidance on breaking the law, evading investigation, or concealing criminal conduct.
- No recommendations of marketplaces, vendors or services of any kind.
Comments
Where comments are open, every comment is held for review before it appears. Comments may be removed without explanation, particularly if they contain onion addresses, promote a service, or ask for the things listed above.
You keep ownership of what you write, and grant permission to display it here. Do not post anything that identifies you unless you intend to.
